Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to maintain and repair light construction equipment at stores or customer sites around Hendersonville, NC. You will visit stores for inspection, preventive maintenance, and work orders, reporting to the Regional Field Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include training store associates, managing fleet inventory, PDIs, and safe operation in line with DOT standards. 50% maintenance focus, 40% safety/compliance, 10% communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 3+ years of work experience servicing construction equipment or related field.
• DOT medical certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document equipment status at each store.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet of rental equipment.
• Train store associates and customers on equipment operation.
• Respond to service calls and order parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate fleet and parts inventory.
• Deploy new equipment to stores and complete PDIs.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Document all work using the company platform.
• Assist with equipment deliveries and pick-ups.
• Adhere to safety requirements and DOT regulations.
