Job summary

Avancez Assembly is seeking a Material Handler / Operator to optimize loads and operate industrial trucks for loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility and loading docks. This role supports efficient production and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 1+ year experience with mobile equipment and warehouse work; forklift experience is a plus. Location is Warren, MI; on-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items and assist with shipping/receiving.
• Move materials within the facility and load trucks as needed.
• Unload trucks and store inventory in correct locations.
• Optimize loads for operational efficiency.
• Ensure safety by inspecting equipment and adhering to procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Operate and manage equipment including ramps and forklifts.
• Support safety practices and production schedules.

MATERIAL HANDLER / OPERATOR

Job Summary

Mobile Handler / Operator is responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, operating, and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility and load trucks as needed.
• Unload trucks and put inventory away into the correct locations.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
• Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Operating and managing technical equipment.
• Rack and stack product up to 16 feet high.
• Load trucks with empty dunnage.
• Lift 20 – 40 pounds frequently.
• Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• Hilo worker / tugger.
• All things materials related.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1+ year mobile equipment experience; 1+ year related warehouse experience; Stand up forklift experience is a plus.
