Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Ennis, TX seeks a Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team at the Ennis plant. You will operate heavy equipment, support quarry production, and uphold safety and teamwork in a demanding outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, adherence to safety rules, and clear communication with coworkers. Candidates should be physically capable of climbing and lifting as required and have a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Operate at least 2 pieces of heavy equipment (haul truck, backhoe, loader, etc.).
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.
• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Ennis, TX Plant. As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Day To Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• The ability to operate one piece of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Operate equipment in quarry or production
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Operate at least 2 pieces of Heavy Equipment (haul truck, backhoe, front-end loader, dozer or excavator)

Working Conditions:

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
