Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is hiring a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repair on forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, front-end loaders, skid steers, and tractor trailers. The role requires safe indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of mobile equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA-10 certification a plus.
• At least two years of mobile equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that mobile equipment continues to run smoothly.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair mobile equipment.
• Maintain special purpose machines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Determine how to correct issues using schematics, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, change parts and complete tasks.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters, and other PM actions.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
• Light knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
