Job summary

CSS seeks a Chemist for its EPA mobile laboratory program in the Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery division, based in Castle Rock, CO. You will support on-site and remote chemical analyses across sample matrices under incident conditions.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in Chemistry with 5–10 years in environmental lab operations, and experience with LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, GC-TOF, LIMS, and EPA SW-846 methods. Expect field travel up to two weeks as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related physical science from an accredited program.
• 5–10 years of experience in environmental laboratory operations with organic analysis.
• Experience with LC/MS/MS, GC/MS, and GC-TOF; familiarity with LIMS and EPA SW-846 methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples for organic analysis.
• Perform GC/MS, GC TOF or LC/MS/MS analyses and validate data.
• Maintain notebooks, document data, and ensure safe laboratory operations.
