WebstaurantStore seeks a Front-End Development Manager to lead a team delivering mobile experiences across iOS and Android. You will coach engineers, set clear priorities, and drive technical excellence while staying close to technology to guide decisions and remove obstacles.

You'll partner with Product, Design, and Development to deliver customer-centric experiences for one of the industry’s leading ecommerce platforms. This is a people-first leadership role.

Qualifications

5+ years of development experience, including mobile apps.
Experience building mobile apps; familiarity with React Native and TypeScript.
3+ years leading and growing developers through coaching and performance feedback.
Experience leading project delivery and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance, testing, and maintainability.
Partner with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering across the lifecycle.

At WebstaurantStore, our mobile app helps restaurant owners and operators order supplies, manage purchases, and stay informed wherever they are. As our Front-End Development Manager, you'll lead a team of developers responsible for building and improving the customer experience across iOS and Android.

Job Summary

This is a people-first leadership role. Your primary focus is building a healthy, high-performing team by coaching, creating clarity around priorities, improving how work gets delivered, and helping your team grow. You'll stay close enough to the technology to guide decisions, remove obstacles, and support technical excellence, but your greatest impact will come through developing people and enabling great work.

You'll partner closely with Product, Design, and Development to deliver experiences that solve real customer problems and support one of the industry's leading ecommerce platforms.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience

5+ years of development experience, including experience building and delivering mobile applications.
Experience building mobile applications, familiarity with React Native and TypeScript, or leading teams that do.
3+ years of experience leading and growing developers through coaching, feedback, performance management, and career growth.
Experience leading project delivery and coordinating work across cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance, testing, and maintainability
Experience partnering closely with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.
