Job summary

Schemata is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Engineer to join our early-stage team in San Francisco, full-time. You will help ensure that complex 3D environments and multimodal AI capabilities feel seamless, responsive, and intuitive on mobile devices.

You will build mobile applications for iOS and Android, spanning UI/UX, backend AI integration, and end-to-end deployment across development, staging, and production environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production mobile apps on iOS and/or Android.
• Strong experience with React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks.
• Strong product and interaction sensibility with polished, user-facing mobile experiences.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance constraints (memory, battery, frame rate, latency).
• Experience owning a mobile product surface over time with real-world feedback.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.
• Portfolio, GitHub, or shipped apps demonstrating strong mobile engineering craft.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance mobile apps with React Native for real-time 3D simulation.
• Connect mobile clients to production systems, assets, progressive loading, and APIs.
• Manage end-to-end deployment: TestFlight, MDM, App Store, enterprise distribution.
• Build component systems for consistent spatial and AI-driven experiences.
• Translate product requirements into polished mobile interfaces with strong interactions.
• Collaborate with product, ML, and graphics teams to ship features with real-time rendering and AI.
