Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support 5-6 retail stores in the Warren, OH area. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial RTUs, split systems, and related building systems.

The role requires handling electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks; a company vehicle, gas card, tools, and IPad/IPhone are provided. Strong communication and safety compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience or trade school training.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a full-size van/truck.
• Universal CFC/EPA certification preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, and order supplies; use CMMS to track work.
• Lead troubleshooting and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, roofs, and drains.
• Inspect installations for code compliance and safety.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing) to ensure operation as designed.
• Oversee the work of outside contractors.
• Maintain lighting systems and perform furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with others.
• Report daily activities via PDA device.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Candidate will support assigned service calls for 5-6 retail stores within a geographical area. Will be responsible for troubleshooting repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial RTUs and split systems as well as general maintenance related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, roofing, etc. Company vehicle, gas card, tools, IPad, and IPhone will be provided.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repairs, records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: HVAC, plumbing systems, roofs, drains.
• Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
• Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Report and communicate daily all work activity via PDA device

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks
• Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a 'full size' van/truck
• Universal CFC or EPA certification preferred.
• Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications
• Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
