Job summary

True Markets is seeking a Mobile Engineer to own the True Markets mobile app end to end — iOS in Swift and Android in Kotlin — in a single repository with rapid 8–10 day release cadence. You’ll cover trading surfaces, onboarding, and KYC, plus passkey authentication and wallet session management.

You will collaborate with backend and design in a small team, maintain mobile CI/CD, and shape analytics, feature flags, and crash monitoring while coordinating API contracts with backend engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production mobile app experience.
• Expert in Swift/SwiftUI; Kotlin/Compose also acceptable.
• End-to-end release ownership.
• Experience with real-time data and WebSocket.
• AI-native tooling usage daily.
• Strong communication and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Compose) with parity.
• Own the release process: version cuts, TestFlight/Play builds, store submission, responses, and monitoring.
• Own trading surfaces: order submission, quoting, P/L display, order history.
• Maintain authentication/onboarding including passkey, 3p logon, wallet session, and KYC.
• Instrument analytics events, funnels, feature flags, crash and error monitoring.
• Maintain mobile CI/CD with GitHub Actions, macOS runners, signing, and secrets.
• Triage bugs and lead weekly UI reviews.
• Define API contracts and resolve interface behavior with design.

Job Description

The Mobile Engineer owns the True Markets mobile app end to end — native Swift on iOS and native Kotlin on Android, built in a single repository and shipped on an eight-to-ten-day release cadence. Scope covers the trading surfaces — spot and perpetuals order entry, quotes, positions, and P&L — along with portfolio and charting, onboarding and KYC, deposits and withdrawals, and passkey authentication. This is a small team: the role scopes its own work, cuts its own releases, and works directly with backend and design.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across both native codebases — Swift and SwiftUI on iOS, Kotlin and Compose on Android — holding the two at feature parity.
• Own the release process: version cuts, TestFlight and Play internal builds, store submission, review responses, and post-release monitoring.
• Own the trading surfaces — order submission, quoting, position and P&L display, order history.
• Maintain authentication and onboarding, including passkey, 3p logon integrations, and wallet session management and KYC.
• Instrument the app: analytics events and funnels, feature flags, crash and error monitoring.
• Maintain mobile CI/CD — GitHub Actions, self-hosted macOS runners, signing, and secrets.
• Triage incoming bugs and run the weekly UI review.
• Define API contracts with backend engineers and resolve interface behavior with design.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production mobile applications.
• Deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with working fluency in Kotlin and Compose — or the reverse. Both codebases are in scope.
• Owned a release end to end: signing, provisioning, submission, and store review.
• Experience with real-time data on mobile — streaming prices, WebSocket connections, and state that survives reconnects.
• AI-native: Claude Code or comparable agentic tooling as a daily force multiplier, with strong instincts for when to trust it, when to verify, and how to push it harder.
• Strong written communication and high autonomy in a small team.

Ideal Qualifications

• Crypto, fintech, or trading background — order entry, margin, perpetuals, or settlement.
• Familiarity with non-custodial key management, passkeys, or MPC wallet infrastructure.
• Experience with identity and KYC onboarding flows.
• Hands-on with product analytics and feature flagging, and crash reporting.
• Mobile CI/CD depth: GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, merge automation.
• Comfort dropping into backend services to unblock an API change.
• Shipped an app of your own, or contributions to mobile open source.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $160,000 – $200,000 per year, with the opportunity for equity
