Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) is hiring a Mobile Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support our mobile unit and community outreach. You will provide chairside assistance, prepare treatment areas, and help with patient registration and scheduling.

In this role, you will travel across Hillsborough County, maintain infection-control standards, drive TFHC vehicles, and assist with daily mobile unit operations. Florida EFDA certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
• Florida EFDA certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists and dental hygienists during general procedures.
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, equipment, and materials before appointments.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards in the mobile unit.
• Assist with setting up and closing the mobile unit at community locations and events.
• Safely drive and transport the mobile unit or TFHC vehicles as assigned.
• Support patient registration, check-in, and appointment scheduling.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Enter and review information in the EMR and maintain documentation.
