Job summary

Humanitary Dental Services is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant to provide chairside support, manage patient flow, and assist with a range of dental procedures in a fast-paced clinic in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate has EFDA certification in Florida, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency with Dentrix or Eaglesoft.

Responsibilities include room prep, radiographs, documentation, and collaboration with front office to ensure seamless patient care and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
• EFDA Certification (Florida) required.
• Minimum 2+ years of chairside assisting experience.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Proficiency with dental software and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of radiographic techniques and four-handed dentistry.
• Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chairside support with empathy and clinical precision.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
• Seat patients and ensure comfort during visits.
• Record medical histories and vital signs as instructed.
• Take diagnostic radiographs per regulatory standards.
• Assist in restorative, surgical, endodontic, preventive, and emergency care.
• Fabricate temporary crowns and trays; take impressions.
• Document procedures using dental software and maintain records.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate with Treatment Coordinators for scheduling.
• Support front office tasks like filing, recall, and appointments.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, stocked operatory.
• Ensure infection control per OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
