Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a DOT Inspection Technician to perform on-site inspections on Class 6-8 trucks in a mobile field setting. You will use standard DOT tools and document findings to ensure compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Diesel, automotive, or heavy-duty vehicle technical training from tech school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong communication with customers and drivers during inspections.
• Willingness to learn DOT inspection standards and out‑of‑service criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Use inspection tools (tread depth gauges, brake stroke gauges) to assess vehicle condition against DOT standards.
• Document findings clearly, flag out-of-service items, and recommend repairs for follow-up.
