Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer locations. You’ll diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance with a company service truck and the latest diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience with Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills for customer and driver interaction.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to document repairs.
• Ready for outdoor field work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency and safety.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic tools, hand/power tools and welding equipment to fix issues.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet standards.
