Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking an entry-level Trailer Mechanic/Technician to support on-site fleet maintenance and preventative service for our customers. This field-based role emphasizes independent work, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial trailers in rural and urban yards.

You’ll use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, with training provided. A safety-first mindset, good communication, and a valid driver's license are required to thrive in this fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on trailer technician experience.
• DOT inspection and air brake expertise.
• Comfortable using mobile apps and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance and follow-up repairs on commercial trailers.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled/unScheduled service.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, suspension, and air systems.
• Repair structural and exterior components such as rails, panels and doors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
• Meet or beat industry-standard repair times.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure quality service.

• Performonsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspectionsand follow up repairs on Commercialtrailersin afield environment.

• Respond todispatch requestsfor scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.

• Diagnose and repairelectrical, brake,suspensionand air systems - keeping trailers safe, compliant, and road-ready.

• Repairstructural and exterior components such as corner nose rails, corner radius, wheel seals, bottomskirts,panels, doors,and top rails.

• Put yourexpertiseto work usinghand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• At least3 years of hands-ontrailertech experience working on Commercialtrailers.

• DOT inspection and air brake repairexpertisethat keeps fleets rolling safely.

• Must be 23+with a clean driving recordand avalid driver’s license.
