Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking an Entry-Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service trailers at customer sites using a company vehicle.

In this field-based role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, light repairs, DOT inspections, and coordinate with drivers and vendors to keep fleets road-ready. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience on heavy-duty trucks or trailers.
• DOT inspections and preventative maintenance expertise.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light repairs on trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service.
• Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment to complete repairs.
• Maintain safety compliance and follow industry-standard repair times.
• Operate a company-issued service truck and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure timely, quality service.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and light follow up repairs on Commercial trailers in a mobile field environment.

• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.

• Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.

• Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.

• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.

• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• At least1-2years of hands-ontechnicianexperienceworking on Class 6-8 trucksortrailers.

• DOT inspection andpreventative maintenanceexpertisethat keeps fleets rolling safely.

• Strong communicationskills– you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.

• Comfortable usingmobile apps, navigationsystemsand digital toolsto stay organized and document repairs.

• Ready for the outdoors– rain or shine at customer yards.

• Independent, dependable, and self-motivated– you take pride in getting the job done right.

• A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.

• Must be20+ with a clean driving recordand avalid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key.

• Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.

• Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work.

• Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
