Job summary

NorthWestern Energy in Butte, MT is hiring a Mobile Dispatcher to respond to customer inquiries and coordinate technician workloads in a control center environment.

This regular full-time role requires shift work including days, nights, weekends and holidays, with 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM and a competitive hourly pay plus a $1.00 shift premium under the CBA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Distribution Operations to manage service orders.
• Create, manage, and modify gas and electric service orders.
• Use computer software and web apps to dispatch daily workflow.
• Perform shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Rotating 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
• Work overtime to meet service needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with team and stakeholders.
• Complete trainings and monthly meetings.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and ethics.

$19.95 per hour (per Collective Bargaining Agreement--CBA)

$1.00 per hour Shift Premium (per CBA)

Three potential step increases with performance progression

Annual pay increases in May of each year subject to the CBA

About this position:

The Mobile Dispatcher works in a Control Center environment, responding to a variety of customer inquiries and technician requests typically through phone interactions. The Mobile Dispatcher assesses and schedules technician's workload for natural gas and electric service work. The Mobile Dispatcher also monitors and answers radio traffic in order to dispatch service personnel.

About this job:

• Assure cost effective use of resources by communicating/coordinating with Distribution Operation and other Stakeholders or Internal Business Partners
• Create, Manage and modify gas and electric service orders
• Demonstrate proficiency with the computer software and web applications necessary to conduct daily workflow dispatching processes
• Perform required shift work to include days, weekends, nights, holidays and call outs
  • Rotating 12 hour shifts that start at 6:00AM and 6:00 PM

• Work overtime including evenings and weekends in response to acute service needs
• Assure positive working relationships within the control room and other or Internal Business Partners.

• Dispatcher calls will be subject to call monitoring with a priority goal of achieving internal/external customer satisfaction
• Work effectively within a team environment and other work groups to accomplish organizational goals
• Demonstrate strong adherence to accuracy, safe work practices/processes, customer service, and attendance
• Job time is spent in an office environment mostly sitting or standing, using a computer terminal and phones with limited required walking
