Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a Direct Support Professional (Mobile) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently in community settings. You’ll work closely with clinical staff to implement therapeutic plans, support daily living skills, and accompany clients on outings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be minimum 18 years of age.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to insured vehicle.
• Background checks must be cleared.
• Compassionate, reliable and quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Transportation and support in the community: outings, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and medication administration.
• Support developmental goals: community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational duties.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing and toileting.
• Help redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.
