Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to operate a service truck and perform onsite maintenance and repairs for customers. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00–3:30 with potential on-call schedule on a rotation every 4 weeks.

The pay rate is $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, with a highly competitive benefits package. This position requires a good driving record, on-site job capability, and experience in preventative maintenance and trailer work.

Qualifications

• Preventative Maintenance background required.
• Preferred certificate or degree from diesel program.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record; CDL is a plus; ASE certs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair work: engine, drivetrain, steering, electrical, suspension, brakes.
• Troubleshooting and inspections.
• Preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain good computer and verbal communication with customers.
• Work independently and perform onsite maintenance at customer locations.
• Operate mobile service truck daily; may take truck home.

What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Service and repair work, engine, drive train, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes
• Troubleshooting and inspections
• Preventative Maintenance
• Good computer skills and good verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Will perform onsite maintenance & repairs at customer's location
• Will operate mobile service truck daily (can take truck home)
• Preventative Maintenance Service Background Required
• Trailer experience needed

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus
• ASE Certifications a plus

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medcard

• Preferred Certificate or Degree from Diesel Program
