Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician - Truck Mechanic in Colfax, NC to operate a service truck and perform onsite maintenance and repairs. $30-38 per hour based on experience, with a shift from 12:00pm to 10:00pm Tuesday-Friday and a $1.50 per hour shift differential.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and technical excellence. Essential duties include servicing engines, drive trains, electrical systems, and brakes, conducting inspections, performing preventative

Qualifications

• Must have preventative maintenance background.
• Preferred diesel program certificate or degree.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• CDL is a plus; ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair work on engines, drive train, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes.
• Troubleshooting and inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Operate mobile service truck and perform on-site maintenance/repairs at customer locations.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively.

What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Service and repair work, engine, drive train, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes
• Troubleshooting and inspections
• Preventative Maintenance
• Good computer skills and good verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Will perform onsite maintenance & repairs at customer's location
• Will operate mobile service truck daily
• 2 years Preventative Maintenance Service Background Preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
• ASE Certifications a plus

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medcard

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Preventative Maintenance Service Background Required
• Preferred Certificate or Degree from Diesel Program
