Job summary

Fleet Watch, a family-owned mobile fleet maintenance company in the Houston area, is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 5–8 trucks and fleet equipment at customer sites, traveling regionally in Texas.

You should be highly skilled, self-motivated, and capable of independent work in a mobile service environment while delivering exceptional service to minimize downtime. Regional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel technician for Class 5–8 vehicles.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 5–8 trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to identify issues.
• Utilize OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Complete repairs including brakes, batteries, starters, transmissions, cooling systems, and more.
• Conduct DOT and safety inspections and document findings and recommendations.
• Maintain inventory, safety, and on-call support as needed.
