Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in El Paso, TX is seeking experienced diesel technicians to join its on-site maintenance team. You will perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, using cutting-edge mobile technology to document labor hours and repair status.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of diesel/trailer repair experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to work weekends or holidays when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of truck/trailer maintenance experience or equivalent education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engine components, exhaust, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
