Job summary

Hub Group in Stockton, CA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to handle diesel engine repair, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic tasks for trucks and trailers on site.

The role requires 4+ years of tractor-trailer maintenance experience, proficiency with diagnostic software, and the ability to perform welding, electrical, braking, and after-treatment system work. DOT certifications are preferred and on-site duties are required.

Qualifications

• 4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills.
• Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools) required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and best practices and follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailing equipment.
• Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of equipment for trade-ins and prepare new equipment for delivery.
• Must be annual vehicle inspector certified and brake inspector certified (per DOT requirements).
• Advance skills with diagnostic software for engines and DEF/after treatment repairs.
• Identify and perform warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
• Use hand tools and power tools to repair and diagnose equipment.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety standards.
• Provide directions and repair instructions and mentor other technicians.
