Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in Baton Rouge is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.

You will schedule maintenance, manage parts, complete DOT forms, and open/close repair orders on a company device, performing work on-site or at customer locations with limited downtime. A strong safety mindset and good communication are essential, with the ability to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills and ability to work extended hours, including weekends.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and planning.
• Ability to use a computer/tablet for work orders and labor entry.
• 2 years of experience with federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of truck/trailer maintenance experience or equivalent education.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers (brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engines).
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle and trailer components and manage parts inventory.
• Open/close repair orders on a company device and document timely.
• Ensure accurate DOT forms and other required documentation.
