Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical certification in vehicle maintenance preferred.
• Must have or meet federal PM certification requirements totaling 1 year.
• One year or more mechanical experience at customer locations preferred.
• Must have required tools per Ryder’s policy.
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and background checks for last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to independently facilitate preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints and ensure quality of repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs per PM guidelines.
• Maintain safety, environmental records, and documentation in the Shop Management System.
• Coordinate work schedules and communicate clearly with customers and supervisors.
