Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mobile Maintenance Diesel Technician in Bridgeton, Missouri, offering weekly pay and a strong benefits package. The role requires a high school diploma, preferred vocational or technical certification in vehicle maintenance, and at least 1 year of mechanical experience.

Candidates must pass drug tests and background checks and be able to drive Ryder vehicles. Schedule and shifts accompany competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical Certification in vehicle maintenance and repair services preferred.
• Must meet federal PM certification requirements through any combination of classroom training or work experience totaling 1 year.
• One year or more mechanical experience working offsite at customer locations preferred.
• Must have minimum tools required to perform duties per Ryder policy.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customer to coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints and ensure quality of repair work.
• Prepare repair estimates and discuss with customers to secure approval.
• Document work orders in company systems and maintain records.
• Perform PMs and repairs across subsystems (Brakes, Electrical, A/C, etc.).
