Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group seeks a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks, both in shop environments and on road calls. You will coordinate with parts, manage vehicle inventory, and conduct road tests as needed, while adhering to safety rules and company procedures.

The role includes participation in manufacturer training, mentorship for less-skilled technicians, and opportunities across multiple dealership locations with relocation

Responsibilities

• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repair in shop type atmosphere and on occasion, road side situations.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Maintain accurate inventory on service vehicle.
• Assure appropriate stock levels are maintained on service vehicle.
• Inspect the assigned vehicle to determine if additional service or safety related work is required or recommended.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles when required.
• Follow all service policies and procedures to insure safety, profitability and accuracy.
• Attain industry certifications as required.
• Keep service truck and/or shop area neat and clean.
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
