Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to travel to customer facilities, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers, and provide professional service. You will carry a fully equipped “bay on wheels” and perform preventive maintenance with safety and accuracy.

Expect to work in a dynamic environment, with opportunities for growth, and flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination on an annual basis.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
• Travel to a customer’s facility or distribution center to perform the preventive maintenance services and repairs.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
