Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Mechanic/Technician to service fleets on-site. You’ll work with a company service truck, fuel card, and mobile tools to keep trucks moving and downtime to a minimum.

In this field-based role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light to medium-duty vehicles, respond to roadside calls, and collaborate with a supportive team. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.
• Must be 23+ with a valid driver\'s license.
• Bring your own hand tools; company provides others.
• Independent, dependable and self-motivated with safety-first mindset.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs to light and medium duty vehicles in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems - everything that keeps a fleet running strong.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast.
• Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet top-quality standards.
• Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
