Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services on-site maintenance experts for truck and trailer repair seeks skilled diesel technicians to join our growing network. You will perform repairs and inspections, manage maintenance schedules, and handle DOT compliance while using on-board tech to update work orders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years diesel/trailer repair, a valid driver's license, and the tools to perform hands-on maintenance, with flexibility for extended hours and travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills required.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance or equivalent education.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other documentation in a timely fashion.
