Job Description

The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs, including diagnostics and other duties as assigned. The role involves advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, with ongoing learning of mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Conduct minor repairs on various truck systems including electrical, brake, cooling, and engine components.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using test instruments and road tests.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company vehicles.
• Document work performed and communicate effectively with clients and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred Certifications

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, and 608/609 certifications.
