As a Technician II, you are a respected technician trusted to work independently on major and minor repairs, perform road tests, and mentor new technicians while growing your skills. We work on various equipment, not just one manufacturer, emphasizing safety, reliability, and continuous training.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers efficiently
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Utilize Penske’s tools and technologies for diagnostics and repairs
• Engage in ongoing technician training
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred
• Experience with diagnosing major components; OEM, ASE, and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Proficient with diagnostic and hand tools
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work safely in all conditions
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willing to travel within the district and pass background and drug screenings

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally

Salary and Shift Differentials:

Starting at $29.00/hour with additional shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
