As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic II at World Kinect, you will maintain service work on company vehicles, schedule and perform tank-testing jobs in compliance with regulations, work on meters, perform truck maintenance, and handle various shop tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicles and machinery to diagnose and repair issues accurately.
• Consult with clients to determine automotive requirements and communicate defects or problems.
• Conduct routine inspections and inform clients of issues.
• Keep accurate logs of all work performed.
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure safety and usability.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Schedule and perform tank tests.
• Work on various meters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

• $33-$37 per hour, depending on experience
• Additional $2/hour for mobile mechanic role
• Additional $2/hour with CDL, tanker, and hazmat endorsements

Travel & Geographic Scope

• Within the assigned region, including local trips, support to shops, and vendor visits. Travel can be frequent, with some nights out as needed.

Key Performance Measures

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs timely and within budget.
• Ensure efficient maintenance utilization and performance.
• Implement safety procedures and initiatives.
• Maintain fleet safety performance within the region.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years fleet maintenance experience.

Requirements

• Mobile Diesel Mechanic experience.
• Clean driving record.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical and vehicle maintenance skills.
• Conduct Vehicle DVIR reviews, safety inspections.
• Knowledge of fleet concepts, tank wagons, and technical expertise.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Planet FM.
• CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Tank testing permits preferred.
