Position: Mobile Diesel Mechanic II

As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic II at World Kinect, you will be responsible for maintaining service work on all company vehicles. This includes scheduling and performing tank-testing jobs in compliance with regulations, working on meters, performing maintenance on trucks, and other tasks around the shop.

Responsibilities

1. Assess vehicles and machinery to diagnose and repair issues accurately.
2. Consult with clients to determine automotive requirements and communicate vehicle defects or problems.
3. Provide routine inspections of vehicles and inform clients of issues.
4. Keep accurate logs of all work performed.
5. Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure safety and usability.
6. Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
7. Schedule and perform tank tests.
8. Work on various meters.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

• $33-$37 per hour, depending on experience
• Additional $2 per hour for mobile mechanic role
• Additional $2 per hour if holding a CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements

Travel and Geographic Scope

Within the assigned regional location, including local trips, support trips to shops, and vendors within the region. Travel is frequent, with some overnight stays as needed.

Key Performance Measures

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs timely and within budget.
• Ensure efficient preventative maintenance utilization and performance.
• Implement safety procedures and initiatives.
• Maintain fleet safety performance within the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Mobile diesel mechanic experience.
• Clean driving record.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical and vehicle maintenance skills.
• Conduct DVIR reviews, safety inspections, and procedures.
• Knowledge of fleet concepts and principles.
• Transport, tank wagon, and vehicle technical expertise.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Planet FM.
• CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements; tank testing permits preferred.
