Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation seeks a skilled mechanic to support its Western Alaska terminals. You will maintain and repair diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles, equipment, and pumps, read electrical and hydraulic diagrams, and help with testing procedures.

Flexibility for overtime and remote locations is required. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and, ideally, hold HAZWOPER certification, air brake and confined space certifications, with experience on forklifts,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HAZWOPER certification required/advantageous.
• Experience with maintenance and repair on heavy/light trucks, forklifts, cranes, and diagnostic software preferable.
• Must wear a half-face respirator and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, equipment and pumps.
• Read electric or hydraulic diagrams.
• Assist with cargo tank testing procedures.
• Hold or acquire air brake certification.
• Hold or acquire confined space entry certificate.
• Hold or acquire competent person certificate.
• Diagnose and repair electronic metering devices.
• Complete repair orders and inspections per policy.
