Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer sites. You will work independently with a company-provided service truck in a dynamic field environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of diesel tech experience, DOT and air brake repair expertise, strong communication skills, and is comfortable using mobile apps and tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspections and air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Respond to emergency road service calls with urgency.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld computers and precision instruments to identify issues quickly.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet top quality standards.
• Sustain safety and compliance with company procedures.
