Job summary

Savage Services in Golconda, NV is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs in the field. You will diagnose issues, service a fleet of trucks, and ensure all work meets OSHA and company safety standards.

The role requires experience with heavy trucks, proficiency in diagnosing via computer systems, and strong English communication. A CDL is a plus; welding aluminum is advantageous. Strong teamwork and adherence to regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of Semi-Truck Fleet Mechanic experience.
• Experience with a variety of trucks is a plus.
• Expert in identifying and diagnosing repairs by computer-based systems; visual recognition helpful.
• Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
• Welding aluminum is a plus.
• Must understand and interpret written and verbal guidelines in English for safety.
• Clear and effective communication with colleagues and superiors is required.
• OSHA and State regulations compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment in the field.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices; maintain maintenance records with supervisor.
• Other general maintenance duties as required.

Job: Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Location: Golconda, NV

Compensation: $30.00–$36.00 an hour

Days/Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 5 a.m.- 3 p.m.

What you will be doing

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment in the field


• Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment


• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Learn and partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain accuratemaintenance records


• Other general maintenance duties as required


• Collaborate with Team Members outside of the department to ensure the overall success of the operation

What you'll need to be successful

• Two to three years of Semi-Truck Fleet Mechanic experience, and experience with a variety of trucks a plus


• Confidencein repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and more


• An expert in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, being able to visually recognize problems a big plus


• Class A CDL a plus, but not required


• The ability to weld aluminum is a plus


• For safety, it is essential that the candidate possesses English communication skills. The job demands the ability to understand and interpret both written and verbal operational and safety guidelines, as well as related regulations, policies, and memos


• Clear and effective communication with colleagues and superiors is a key requirement for this role


• Ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulations

• Physically able to handle heavy parts and pieces of equipment


• Safely Climb on and off the equipment


• Physically demanding work will be a daily function of this position
