The Halter Group is seeking a Field Service Technician – Mobile Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet rolling across Atlanta, GA and Tennessee. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the field, traveling between sites and ensuring crews stay productive.

You should be a self-motivated trouble-shooter with experience in diesel systems and a strong safety mindset. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a big asset on our crews.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul large field equipment in varying conditions.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and reports in English.
• Willingness to travel between Atlanta, GA and Tennessee and work overtime when needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background, MVR, and DOT checks.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, service, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and hydraulics.
• Maintain field vehicles, trailers, and tree service equipment on schedule.
• Troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and report findings clearly.
• Travel between job sites, communicate with crews, and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and support storm response as needed.
