Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a mobile developer to own an offline‑first iOS and Android app from project setup through public release on the App Store and Google Play. You’ll review every diff, add tests, and decide on sync, storage, and release strategies.

This fully remote contractor role is about 40 hours per week with core hours in US time zones, partnering with a lead developer and backend counterpart to deliver a single app end‑to‑end, backed by AI coding tools and CI in the workflow.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building mobile applications, including React Native.
• Offline-first architecture with local storage, queued writes and retries.
• Performance tuning for low-end Android devices.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor/Claude Code) with TypeScript and CI.
• Clear written and spoken English for client communications.
• Ability to interpret written acceptance criteria and push back on merges.

Responsibilities

• Set up Apple and Google developer accounts, signing, CI builds and testing tracks.
• Build local storage, write queue and retry logic for offline use.
• Define sync and upload APIs with backend, resolve conflicts.
• Implement phone-number sign-in and SMS-based fallbacks.
• Create camera capture and e-signature flows with versioned records.
• Measure startup time, memory and app size on low-end devices.
• Handle store submissions, privacy disclosures and monitoring.
