Job summary

360care is seeking a Dental Assistant to support physicians during patient visits at long-term care facilities in Perrysburg, Ohio. The role requires traveling to facilities, maintaining EMR records, and assisting with dental care and equipment preparation.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and prefer Medical/Dental Assistant experience, with strong communication and computer skills. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are needed for frequent facility visits.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Medical / Dental Assistant experience preferred.
• Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record and car insurance.
• Must have completed and passed a two-step TB test.
• Hepatitis B vaccination preferred.
• State radiation license or certificate required.
• Good computer skills and medical terminology experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor with patient care in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Review, verify and maintain current clinical records and medical history through EMR.
• Maintain and document dental records; update odontogram for each patient encounter.
• Pass instruments to the dentist during procedures.
• Maintain treatment area and sterilize equipment.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques.
• Manage dental equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Post dental charges to the provider in a timely fashion.
• Support scheduling and reporting with the branch office.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Travel up to 100% and use company vehicle.
