Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a CT Technologist to support a mobile imaging team across multiple facilities. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality CT exams with compassionate patient interaction and adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a Radiologic Technology credential, ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, and at least two years of hospital radiography experience, including CT. The position requires versatility to operate across sites and manage RIS/PACS workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 2 years hospital-based radiologic technologist experience, including CT.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans per physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
• Verify patient identity, obtain medical history, and screen for contraindications.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and show empathy.
• Prepare, position, and assist patients with mobility and immobilization as needed.
• Establish IV access and administer contrast media safely.
• Operate CT equipment and injectors, minimize radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Evaluate image quality, identify urgent findings, and communicate with radiologists.
• Document procedures, manage RIS/PACS uploads, and perform quality control.
• Support workflow by maintaining equipment and supplies; follow regulatory standards.
