Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment for basic to intermediate diagnostic procedures at our Georgia facility. You will obtain patient histories, verify orders, and ensure accurate imaging with proper safety measures.

The role includes contrast administration under Radiologist direction, image post-processing, and documentation in the radiology system. No relocation required; schedule will be variable with 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (head, body, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremity).
• Obtains medical history and verifies exams with physician orders.
• Positions patient and adjusts scanning factors to obtain optimal images while following radiation safety.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under Radiologist guidance.
• Post-processes images and labels studies with patient identifiers and location.
