Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Critical Care Transport Nurse to manage advanced care for patients during ground and air transports. The role emphasizes ICU-level monitoring, airway management, ventilatory support, and invasive procedures under physician leadership.

You will work in Rhode Island Hospital, collaborate with EMS and hospital teams, perform documentation, training, and quality activities, and travel to various locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN licensure in Rhode Island.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Trauma and NRP certifications due within 12–24 months.
• Advanced transport nursing certification within two years.
• RI EMT certification or active enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU-level care during ground/air transport under physician direction.
• Perform advanced airway management, ventilatory support, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Document patient care per hospital and EMS policies in a timely manner.
• Participate in training, curricular development, and research activities.
• Maintain readiness for travel to diverse environments and weather conditions.
• Collaborate with EMS, hospital teams, and leadership to ensure safe transports.
