Qualifications

• Must have Rhode Island RN licensure and a nursing degree (BSN preferred).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications per AHA.
• Must obtain Trauma and NRP within 12 months; transport nursing cert within 2 years.
• National RN registration and RI EMT certification or active enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care during ground transport and at incident scenes.
• Perform high-risk procedures per physician director and EMS policies.
• Document care in medical records per hospital and state guidelines.
• Participate in training, curricula development, and research; stay current with critical care literature.
• Maintain equipment readiness, safety standards, and effective communication during transport.
