Job summary

Coos Health & Wellness seeks a Mental Health Specialist II for its Mobile Response Team (MRT). The role provides crisis evaluation, de-escalation, intervention, stabilization, and support to community members, law enforcement, and partners 24/7.

Shifts are 48 hours, may be from home or office, with travel within the county and occasional state travel. A qualified mental health professional or eligible candidate is required; master’s degrees in psychology, social work, or counseling, or a

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified mental health professional or eligible.
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other mental health related field; or Bachelors in Nursing or occupational therapy with license and experience.
• Must pass a criminal background check per state requirements.
• At least two years postgraduate experience providing clinical mental health services that include diagnostic assessment and interventions.
• CADC and Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis evaluation, de-escalation, intervention, stabilization and support for individuals in the community.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and community partners.
• Be available for crisis response 24/7/365.
• Travel within the county and infrequent travel within the State.
• Shifts are 48 hours and may be conducted from home or in an office.
