Job summary

AMHC in Fort Kent, Maine, is seeking a Full-Time Mobile Crisis Service Provider to join a multidisciplinary team delivering timely crisis intervention in homes, schools, healthcare settings, and community locations.

You’ll assess crises, stabilize situations, and connect individuals with resources, working closely with first responders to support recovery and well-being within the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• MHRT-CSP certification required; may qualify via MHRT-CSP or related pathways.
• 36 months (4,992 hours) direct behavioral health experience.
• MHRT-CSP certification with 1,664 direct behavioral health hours.
• 30 college credits/associate degree plus 1,664 direct behavioral health hours.
• Current MHRT-CSP certification preferred.
• Upon hire, complete MHRT-CSP training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Naloxone training provided by agency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health and substance use crises as part of a collaborative team.
• Partner with first responders and community providers.

Full-Time Mobile Crisis Service Provider | Fort Kent

As a Mobile Crisis Service Provider, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide timely, compassionate crisis intervention in the community. You may respond in homes, schools, healthcare settings, community locations, or alongside first responders, helping people access support in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting possible.

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, as required by the contract associated with this position.
• Eligibility for Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician – Crisis Service Provider (MHRT-CSP) certification is required. Individuals may qualify through one of the following pathways:
• 36 months of direct behavioral health experience (4,992 hours);
• MHRT/C certification and a minimum of 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience;
• Completion of 30 college credits hours and/or an associate's degree in a related field, along with a minimum of 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience; or
• Current MHRT-CSP Certification
• Upon hire, staff will be required to complete the MHRT-CSP training appropriate to their role and experience
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Required training courses include CPR/First Aid Training, MANDT (Day 1), trained to administer and carry Naloxone and complete Peer Support 101 Training. Training is provided by the agency upon hire.
