Job summary

Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc. in Fort Kent is seeking a Full-Time Mobile Crisis Service Provider to respond quickly to mental health and substance use crises within the community.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide crisis intervention in homes, schools, healthcare settings, and alongside first responders, focusing on least restrictive settings and person-centered crisis planning.

Qualifications

• 36 months of direct behavioral health experience (4,992 hours).
• MHRT/C certification and a minimum of 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience.
• Current MHRT-CSP Certification.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Required training: CPR/First Aid, MANDT, Naloxone; training provided by the agency.

Full-Time Mobile Crisis Service Provider | Fort Kent

As a Mobile Crisis Service Provider, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide timely, compassionate crisis intervention in the community. You may respond in homes, schools, healthcare settings, community locations, or alongside first responders, helping people access support in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting possible.

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, as required by the contract associated with this position.
• Eligibility for Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician – Crisis Service Provider (MHRT-CSP) certification is required. Individuals may qualify through one of the following pathways:
• 36 months of direct behavioral health experience (4,992 hours);
• MHRT/C certification and a minimum of 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience;
• Completion of 30 college credits hours and/or an associate's degree in a related field, along with a minimum of 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience; or
• Current MHRT-CSP Certification
• Upon hire, staff will be required to complete the MHRT-CSP training appropriate to their role and experience
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Required training courses include CPR/First Aid Training, MANDT (Day 1), trained to administer and carry Naloxone and complete Peer Support 101 Training. Training is provided by the agency upon hire.
