Job summary

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee is looking for a Mobile Responder to provide crisis intervention services across Okeechobee and surrounding counties. The role includes conducting emergency mental health screenings and providing follow-up support.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with a current Florida license for counseling. Experience in crisis response and bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in psychology, social work counseling, or related field.
• Current Florida license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or Psychology required.
• Experience working with chronic and acute mental illness and substance use dependency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to community‑sourced MRT calls across the four‑county area.
• Conduct emergency mental health screening to determine risk and appropriate disposition.
• Offer follow‑up support through phone calls and/or home visits.
