Job summary

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a Clinician to join the Emergency Services team in Medford, MA.

The Co-Responding Mobile Coordinator works with the Medford Police Department to engage individuals in acute psychiatric distress and provide on-site assessments and rapid access to community services. The role requires a Masters in a Medicaid-reimbursable clinical field, at least one year in psychiatric emergency services, and bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in relevant human services clinical specialty that is Medicaid reimbursable required.
• Minimum one year in a psychiatric emergency service or similar setting required.
• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred. Please indicate language capabilities in application!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the Medford Police Department and assist officers with calls involving signs of mental health distress.
• Provide on-site evaluations and rapid access to other community supports.
• Coordinate disposition planning and treatment services during the co-response episode of care.
• Identify needs and strengths; plan and evaluate necessary care with community resources.
• Coordinate the network of health and human service agencies to maximize growth and self-reliance.
• Assess crisis situations and intervene with appropriate treatment; weekends/holidays rotation required.
