Job summary

North Suffolk is seeking a Clinician to join our Emergency Services team in Medford, MA. The Co-Responding Mobile Coordinator will ride with Medford Police Officers to engage with clients in acute psychiatric care and facilitate rapid access to community services.

This on-site role requires mobile response, with two full-time shifts (7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm) Monday through Friday. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to collaborate across agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in relevant human services clinical specialty (Medicaid reimbursable) is required.
• Minimum one year in a psychiatric emergency service or similar setting.
• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred; please indicate language capabilities in application.
• Valid driver's license and access to a car required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the Medford Police Department (MPD) and be available to assist MPD officers with calls for individuals exhibiting signs of mental health distress, to provide real-time onsite evaluations and rapid access to other community supports.
• Provide continuity of support, coordination of disposition planning and treatment services during the co-response episode of care.
• Identify needs and strengths; assist in planning, implementing and evaluating necessary care for individuals, children and families with community resources.
• Coordinate the appropriate network of health and human service agencies to maximize opportunities for growth and self-reliance.
• Assess crisis or emergency situations and intervene immediately with appropriate treatment for clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by emergency services management staff.
• Weekends, holidays and shift rotation will be required.
