Job summary

CarePlus New Jersey seeks a Part-time Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team Supervisor to lead and supervise field teams providing 24/7 crisis outreach in Bergen and Passaic counties, with remote backup responsibilities. The role involves supervising up to six teams, consulting with crisis workers, and approving reports for quality assurance.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a mental health field, with two years post-master’s experience in a psychiatric setting and at least one year

  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field from an Accredited College.
  • Two years post-master's experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • One-year supervisory experience; crisis experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and oversight to assigned staff to broaden clinical skill sets and enhance client care.
  • Evaluate staff productivity and documentation of service delivery and review staff responsibilities.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training for the MCORT department.
  • Complete performance appraisals and advocate for rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Be available for on-call clinical consultation and case reviews with MCORTs to determine appropriate intervention.
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to MCORTs as needed and clinical oversight for day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and oversee data collection and reporting per DMHAS.
  • Coordinate program's services with other system partners and service providers and provide ongoing training to staff.
  • Assist in preventing inappropriate psychiatric hospitalization, re-hospitalization, use of emergency services, and/or incarceration.

Location: 1 Kalisa Way, Paramus
On-site & In-community PT 20 hours:

  • Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (8 hours)
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (12 hours)
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (12 hours)
  • Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (8 hours)

Hourly: $33.65

Job Summary:
You will plan, direct, and supervise the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams, who provide immediate therapeutic mobile crisis outreach response to adults in the Bergen and Passaic County communities on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year, dispatched through the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline Call Center. As the supervisor, you will provide remote back up to the MCORT staff in the field for up to six (6) teams across a region at one time, consultation to the Crisis Workers when deemed necessary to determine the most appropriate intervention and if the MCORT believes a higher level of care is appropriate, and review and approve MCORT's reports for quality assurance purposes.

What You Will Do:

  • Be available for on-call clinical consultation and telephonically or in-person case reviews with the MCORTs to determine the most appropriate intervention or if a higher level of care is necessary.
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to MCORTs as needed and clinical oversight for day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and oversee data collection and reporting per DMHAS.
  • Coordinate program's services with other system partners and service providers and provide ongoing training to staff.
  • Assist in preventing inappropriate psychiatric hospitalization, re-hospitalization, use of emergency services, and/or incarceration.

What We Need to See:

  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field (Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling) from an Accredited College
  • Two years post-masters experience full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting
  • One-year supervisory experience; crisis experience preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
